DAVE HOARE'S MATCH REPORT

The latest match from Spain. Well Dave hope you had a better match than me at the weekend.

1 Car 1 Sponsered Series.

Well this week saw the weather really change, the morning being less than 10 degrees.
The fishing was just as dire. The match was the 2nd in the 1 to 1 car hire series.
This is a series of 4 matches with the winner, winning a free weeks car hire.
(Thanks 1 Car 1).

The match was held on the Embalse de Ojos, a venue not noted for prolific fishing,
Even in the summer. First time for the club, where we had a tie for first, and second place.

RESULTS as follows.

Joint 1st. Dave (yours truly) Hoare, fishing the pole, and using pellet, with 3.500 Kilos,
And Ian (from the dark side) Haughton, fishing the feeder using pellet, with 3.500 Kilos.
Joint 2nd. Clive (Golf no more) Cleghorn, fishing the pole, using pellet, with 2.700 Kilos,
And Terry (swing I’m ) Screen, fishing the pole , using pellet, with 2.700 Kilos.
3rd. Harold (H) Clarke, fishing the whip for Bleak, with 2.200 Kilos.

OVERALL POINTS TO DATE as follows.

1st. Ian Haughton with 5 points.
2nd. Clive Cleghorn with 6 points.
3rd. Paul Baxter with 8 points.

2 matches to go, and all to fish for!!!.

CARP R US.

The 5th round of the Winter league was fished at the Eden Canal
On Thursday November 26th.
The water was in excellent condition until 30 minutes into the match,
when the local authority decided that there was to much water in it,
and promptly dropped the level by 18 inches.
We needed Mick Hill to jump in again, so the level would rise, but he
Declined this week ,which was a nice change.
The fish did come back to feed later in the match, and the winner’s on
the day were:-

1st. Stan Robert’s. 5.020 Kilos. Fishing bread, and maggot. For small
Carp, and Golden Orfe.
2nd. Paul Baxter. 4.640 Kilos. Fishing corn. For a few small Carp, and a
1.3Kg fish.
3rd. Mick Hill. 4.380 Kilos. Fishing corn, and maggot for Carp.

The Winter leagues placings to date with 5 matches to fish as follows.

Paul Baxter. 64.
Ian Dalzell. 45.
Mick Hill. 43.
Alan Reid. 40.
Bob Rafferty. 40.

Next weeks match is the River Segura in Murcia town centre.
