GOOD LOOKING CHAP.

GOOD LOOKING CHAP.
With a nice bag of carp.

Wednesday 4 November 2009

Hi all.
Just got this match result in from David Hoare, an ex pat living in spain. dave's kindly agreed to send is
fishing reports to me via e-mail, so i can upload, and share them with you.
There's one of is guys, who's had a bad day, catching ony 3 bleak. Now he sounds like he's on the same par as me. Hope to fish against him one day,as we will be catching fish for fish, should be a fair match then?
On a more serious note. Thanks again dave for your time and effort. Who knows maybe one day i might come out and watch a match, take photo's, and give it a write up.

Here,s dave's report below.

MAGGOTS END

RODS and REELS

This weeks match was held on the Embalse de Pedrera, and was the third in the series for the Presidents Cup. The series is four matches with all four counting. How venue´s change, this time last year, fish were abundant with either carp or barbel being caught or kilo´s of bleak. The match this week had 10 blanks!!!!!.

And we have still not got to the cold weather!!!!!. Pete Hampshire is back on suicide watch again this week, as he threw back his grand catch of 3 bleak ( not bad for 61/2 hours fishing ) and thus losing out on winning his section. As for myself I was close to calling the police as I was being murdered by the anglers either side of me???. Although the top weights weren´t bad, they do not reflect the whole match.

Top rods as follows

1st Doug ( Welsh Goldminer ) Hornblow fishing the pole using pellet with 16.850 kilo´s.

2nd Ian ( Irish Wizard ) Dalzell fishing the feeder using pellet with 12.300 kilo´s.

3rd Austin ( Cambridge ) Veith fishing the feeder using pellet with 9.35 kilo´s.

Overall points to date with one match to go

1st Dave Hoare with 15 points

2nd Bill Reade with 16 points

3rd Ian Haughton with 21 points

4th Stuart Taylor with 24 points

So with the fishing so “iffey” it is still anyone´s.
