PLEASURE SESSION.

Hi all.
Got up this morning, and decided to go fishing for a few hours.

Venue: staunton court, match lake.

Set up my margin master pole, and 2 tops. One for the margins, and one for fishing at 4metres in front of me.
Started fishing about 9.30am. Fed the margins, with cat food, and then fed the 4 metre line, with pellets, and paste. Started getting bites on the paste, straight away. Problem was i was getting bit out by small stuff. Bite after bite, miss after miss. So out went a big potful of corn. Got off my box, and started taking a couple of photos. Went back out in front of me,and started to catch skimmers. Between 6oz and a couple of pound.
stayed on this method for a couple of hours,as i was having fun. Had about 10 to 15 pound by this time.
But to be honest i was here to catch carp. So fished 4 hours down the margins. Caught carp on a regular basis. Biggest 14lb. Had a very good day in the end. no one else on the lake,so i had it all to my self. Probably done the ton. Problem is you can't use keepnets.but all in all i enjoyed myself, which at the end of the day, thats what its all about. No doubt it will be back to earth with a bump on sunday.

Lydney lake is prodominatly a silverfish lake, although there is a small scattering of carp.
Its mainly a feeder job.Problem is its very peggy. Get a good peg on the day,and you can get a nice bag of bream. Get a bad peg,and its struggle time.So until next week see ya.

THE MATCH.

Well back down to earth, with a bump for me, i'm afraid. fished at
7 metres throughout the match. Plus tried the margins every now and
then. Now the reason i fished at only 7 metres was because a couple of weeks ago, on the Gloucester canal. I broke my number 6 section on my
diawa tournamount. So i've had to use my browning margin master, which unfortunatly is only 7 metres long.Today everyone who fished long caught quite well.I fed 4mm pellet, with 6mm,or 4mm on the hook.I ended up with just over 11lb of silvers, no carp. 2 pegs to my left lewis, caught all day long. Fish after fish, every put in. he had 4 carp, (biggest 10lb 8oz).
The rest was good size skimmers, and the odd smattering of roach. He weighed in an impressive 76lb-9oz. John 1 peg to my left, done me by 8oz,and he had 2 carp with is bag. Mark hewlett caught the biggest carp of the day. 13lb-8oz.Which was fortunate for him as he weighed in 23lb-2oz.
Suprising how 1 good fish puts you up the list. Trevor dix had a better day
today. He did'nt lose any of is pole, and is phones working. He finished 3rd. Well done mate. There was no mishaps for anyone today, except i fished
crap. But aye , were all human. Maybe next week.
